A Britonian Series: Revealing the Main Character’s Name

Last week, I wrote a post featuring my new blog series titled A Britonian Series. You can learn more about this series here. In this post, I provided a poll in which I asked my fellow blog followers to vote for the names they¬†liked. From those names, I would choose the one voted for the most. I ended the post with a promise to announce the main character’s name on the following Monday (which is today).

*drum roll*

The name of the main character of my yet to be named Christian Contemporary Romance novel is….*drum roll*…..

Miss Catherine Eliot.

I am sure you are all wondering who Miss Eliot is. More information about her will be revealed on Friday. So stay tuned for that. In the mean time, you can continue to vote for the names you love the most. I still need two more main character names. Possibly even more.

New Book Idea

One of the reasons why I started Tea, Books, and Britain was because I would like to write a Christian contemporary romance novel which is a new territory for me. I usually only read mysteries and historical fiction but then I stumbled upon this amazing Christian contemporary romance series by Melissa Tagg and thought if she can write one, so can I. She was even kind enough to give me a few pointers on how to write a contemporary novel.

For a while now, I have been toying with an idea for a Christian Contemporary romance novel. If you follow me on Pinterest, you would have seen a board titled “A British Story.” Not exactly the best title for it but don’t worry that is not the official name. It does get the point across. The story will take place in England which is one of my favorite if not the¬†favorite country of all time. The premise of the story is basically an American girl goes over to England and falls in love with a British guy.

At the moment that is all I have so far. I am in the middle of still writing my WWII novel but because of school I had to put it on the back burner. However, knowing myself, I will most likely try and write this novel at the same time as my historical.

As I continue to brainstorm/daydream about this contemporary novel, I will be featuring a blog series specifically on this book on this blog. I don’t know what to call it yet so if you have any ideas for what to call the series feel free to leave them in comments section. Also be sure to stay tuned for the posts in this series.

To give you a foretaste of what is to come. The first blog post will be a poll where you can vote and suggest names for the heroine of the story.
